Hi everyone,
We’re still in need of more volunteers for next week’s student visits. We’ll be hosting classes from John Stubbs Middle School on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and we’re currently short about 30 volunteer hours across the three days.
Each session runs from 1:15 to 2:15 pm, and all we need is a bit of patience and a willingness to show the students the basics of lawn bowling. If you can spare just one hour on any of those afternoons, please add your name to the sign‑up sheet at the club or email Jack.
Thanks, Jack
Shelley at Sidelign Bowls has Grippo in stock at $10 per tube, if there is enough interest Jack will order a batch, if you wish one please email him at jayar1950@icloud.com by no later than this Saturday May 23rd.
As we get ready for the Galleon Cup on Saturday, May 15 and Sunday, May 16, we’re looking for some home baking to help welcome our visiting bowlers. If you’re able to contribute cookies, raisin bread, squares, or other treats, they can be dropped off at the club on Monday, May 11.

It is with sadness that we share the recent passing of our long time member Linda Clegg.
Linda was a regular at our Thursday morning ladies’ league and was always happy to share her lawn bowling knowledge and expertise with everyone. She will be greatly missed.
Linda was a member of the James Bay United Church, and a service is being planned there in her honour. We will forward details to you as soon as they become available.
Our thoughts are with Linda’s brother Grant.
