BOWL FOR THE CURE HELP REQUIRED

As the season winds down, we’re gearing up for one of our most meaningful events: the annual Lawn Bowl for the Cure. This two-day fundraiser will welcome over 200 bowlers for friendly competition in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.

To add to the excitement, we’re bringing back the prize table, featuring a raffle of donated items—always a crowd favourite.

Kitchen A Donations
We’re looking for a variety of goodies—homemade or store-bought—to help keep our bowlers fueled and smiling:

  • Baked treats: muffins, sweet breads, cookies, squares, cakes, etc.
  • Raisin bread: we’ll need about 4 loaves. If you’re planning to donate, please let me know—this is our final event of the season, so we’re aiming to avoid leftovers.
  • Fruit and veggie trays, or pre-cut produce, ready to serve
  • Savory snacks: cheeses, sausage, pickles, crackers—anything easy to portion and enjoy

Please deliver items to Kitchen A by Thursday, September 18. Store appropriately (fridge, freezer, or counter), and label any containers or lids you’d like returned.

Kitchen A Volunteers
We’re also looking for helping hands for:

  • Morning setup
  • Afternoon cleanup
  • General support throughout the day to keep things tidy and running smoothly

Let me know when you’re available and how you’d like to help. Even if you haven’t signed up in advance, feel free to swing by Kitchen A between games—there’s always a way to pitch in.
