GREENSKEEPERS TOURNAMENT
Thirty years ago, Juan de Fuca Lawn Bowls Club hosted the Commonwealth Games where athletes from around the world converged on Victoria to participate in the games. Queen Elizabeth graced us with her presence and opened the Lawn Bowling Games. For a walk down memory lane below are the SPIRIT OF THE GAMES (SOG) YouTube articles.

GREENSKEEPERS TOURNAMENT HISTORY
The Greenskeepers tournament was started in 1998 to honour our original Greenskeepers and all subsequent Greenskeepers since our greens were created. The tournament was the brainchild of Davie Mathie. Davie designed and made the trophy, the lawn bowl on the top was a replica of his own Almark bowl that he bowled with at that time. The trophy was made in honour of Lloyd and Beth Woods. Select HISTORY to read the complete article on the history of the JDF LBC Greens.
