Your support for the 2023 Canadian National Championships was amazing. Thank you so very much for volunteering and making these championships a huge success, and helping to create a great experience for the competitors, spectators, officials, and everyone else involved with these games.
It was great to meet you all; I really appreciate how easy you made it for me to recruit and schedule scoreboard flippers for 180 round robin games and the 8 medal games. You are all truly wonderful ambassadors for Bowls South Island and your individual lawn bowls clubs. We had 74 from 11 clubs volunteering to cover 208 flipper shifts. There were 102 people that volunteered as a marker for the singles and/or as a flipper for the pairs & fours – awesome support!
As much as I’m looking forward to getting back on our greens later today, I’m going to miss the hustle ‘n bustle and excitement associated with the Nationals. Thank you again, and I look forward to seeing you on a green soon!
