I hope this email finds you well and looking forward to another exciting season of lawn bowling.
By way of introduction, I have taken over membership responsibilities from Marion Robertson. I look forward to seeing you at one of our three upcoming open houses:
· Saturday, April 26 @ 1:00 – 3:00 pm
· Wednesday, April 30 @ 6:00 – 8:00 pm
· Sunday, May 4 @ 1:00 – 3:00 pm
Membership update: I am happy to announce that our “Online Membership Form” is up and running. Here is a link to the online form. Many of you have already filled the registration form out – thank you.
While this is meant as a convenience to our members it is not a requirement. If you would prefer, you still have the option to print the form and fill it out manually. We will have forms available if you come down to register at one of our Open Houses.
Lockers: Our locker rental fees also remain unchanged at $20.00. If you currently have a locker and have decided you do “NOT” want it anymore, please advise Laurie Hayman lahayman@telus.net as there is currently a waitlist. Also please advise Laurie if you don’t have a locker and would like one and she will add you to the waitlist.
Fees for this year: As Steve Shulhan mentioned in his President’s message, fees are unchanged from last year, which remain as follows:
Regular: $285.00
Student 18-24: $215.00
Junior Under 18: $95.00
Associate: $145.00
Social: $20.00
Payment: For members who use online banking, we again have the option to pay membership and locker fees online using an e-transfer. This is not mandatory, just another option. Cash and cheques are always accepted. Cheques should be made payable to Juan de Fuca Lawn Bowls Club.
Instructions to pay your fees by e-Transfer:
While the precise steps (such as the names of the buttons you’ll need to click) may differ slightly from bank to bank, you’ll generally need to do the following steps in order to send an e-transfer:
· Step 1: Sign into online or mobile banking and look for the Interac e-Transfer option.
· Step 2: Add a payee and use this email address juandefucalbcmembership@gmail.com
· Step 3: Enter the amount of money you would like to send and from the account you want to send it.
· Step 4: There is no need to create a security question as we are signed up for auto deposit, which deposits the money straight into our account.
· Step 5: Press send. You’ll be notified via email when the e-Transfer is accepted.
