Hello everyone

Opening day and a fun season of bowls and social events is almost upon us. I hope that all of you have had a happy, healthy winter and are as excited as I am to get back onto the greens.

Your Board of Management has been working together to prepare for the upcoming season: planning Open Houses, club and BSI tournaments, fun days, and finalizing the BSI tournament schedule. We were also successful in bidding for a Provincial Championship tournament. We will host the Men’s and Women’s Provincial Fours Championships between June 20th and 22nd.  More to come later.

Your Executive decided to keep the 2025 Membership Fees at the same levels as last year. This will just cover the amount our club forwards to West Shore Parks and Recreation and Bowls BC. Regular membership fees for this year remain at $285. This provides our members with unlimited bowling, leagues, coaching, club tournaments, and great social events. Despite another 4% increase by West Shore Parks and Recreation, we can maintain fees at last year’s levels because of a reduced assessment from Bowls BC this year. Membership renewal and payment details will be shared soon.

We have 3 Open Houses scheduled this Spring:
· Saturday, April 26 @ 1:00 – 3:00 pm
· Wednesday, April 30 @ 6:00 – 8:00 pm
· Sunday, May 4 @ 1:00 – 3:00 pm

Please extend an invitation to your friends, neighbours and family and encourage them to come out to learn about our club and give lawn bowling a try. Our dedicated coaches will be on hand to introduce them to the sport, and we hope you can come down to lend a hand.

Opening Day and the Spring Annual General Meeting will be held on Saturday, May 3rd.  More to come later.

We are setting up the clubhouse this Saturday, April 19th, at 10:00 am and we could use some help.  Please come down if you can spare an hour to help us get everything looking good for our Open Houses.
